Jennifer Lowe is a Baltimore-based artist whose primary focus is painting landscapes. This show features her favorite type of work, landscapes from places she's travelled and explored with family and friends. She also has explored mediums such as charcoal, pastel, sculpture and mosaic.

Jennifer’s artistic education began at the age of 10 learning alongside a local artist in Cockeysville, MD. For almost 10 years, she learned drawing and painting techniques for portraits, landscapes, still life and design until she graduated from McDonogh School in Owings Mills, MD in 2009. In those years, she would also come to support her teacher with instructing fellow students in how to paint a cloud or draw a nose. She attended the  University of Delaware where she began working on commission. Upon graduating in 2013, she continued to build as a commissioned artist. In 2015, she joined the Maryland Federation of Art to support community enrichment in the arts and to continue to grow alongside fellow artists.

Today, Jennifer works on commission to create unique pieces of artwork for her clients. She is also expanding her presence in the gallery and exhibition space.

"Art inspires communities and provides for expression.

"MFA celebrates and supports local and national artists by giving them professional avenues for exhibition. Whether at MFA’s iconic location, Circle Gallery on State Circle in Annapolis, or at alternate sites including local restaurants, public buildings, in partnership with other nonprofits, and at the University of Maryland College Park, artists at all stages of their careers are able to bring to the public their points of view through their work.

"MFA looks forward to the next half-century, presenting the work of established and emerging artists at Circle Gallery, in alternate locations and to the world through virtual galleries and exhibitions."
